Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CA RN license, EPIC experience, and ACLS/PALS certification.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
• Variable 12-hour shifts, either 12:00-00:30 or 15:00-03:30
• 36-48 hours per week
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS certification required (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS)
• PALS certification required (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS)
• Minimum of three years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• No prior adverse licensure actions permitted

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned patients using the nursing process
• Supervise and direct assigned nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines
• Collect and analyze patient data to determine diagnosis and care planning
• Implement care plans and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, humane care
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered
• No radius requirement, as local rates match travel rates
• Candidates can only be submitted to one hospital within the Adventist Health system at a time
