Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring CA licensure, ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications, and recent EPIC experience.

Details

• Emergency Department setting caring for patients from newborns through geriatrics
• Night shift schedule of 3x12s or 4x12s, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• Level III trauma center providing triage, treatment, and discharge care

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required (TNCC required within 6 months of hire if not already obtained)
• Minimum 3 years of recent ER experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Recent EPIC EMR experience required
• No candidates with a prior hit on license will be considered

Additional Information

• Perform triage assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, and care of indwelling catheters and drains
• Interpret ECG rhythms and manage patient care during life-threatening emergencies
• Respond to Code Blue, Code Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma Activations with appropriate clinical skill
• Provide medication side effect teaching and discharge instructions to ED patients
• Position is represented by CNA
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions with no radius restriction
