Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, handling various emergency situations and diagnoses.
• Administer IV therapy, including blood product administration and IV vasopressors.
• Manage ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP for patients requiring respiratory support.
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and provide care for stroke, neuro-trauma, and spinal cord injury patients.
• Perform triage and apply isolation precautions as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services.
• Utilize special equipment such as Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Active New York Single State RN license is required.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be available for a 15-week contract period.
