Brief Unit Description: 65-Bed Emergency Department, pod-based,with separate pediatric pod and separate Acute Mental Health area.
Yearsof Experience Required: 2 years Emergency Nursing experience. SkillSets Required: General ED nursing skills including butnot limited to: Assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, CardiacMonitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking and patienteducation.
Ratio: 1:4.Patient
Population: All.
BedCount: 65.Census: 230visits/day.
EMR(Charting System): EPIC
.FloatingRequired: Yes to the ED Observation wing (16 beds) and AMU (ED PsychOBs).
RotatingShifts Required: Yes, for Day Rotate (7a-7p, 11a-11p, &7p-7a) when requested.
Rotation frequency: Low. Night position does notrotate
