Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring recent EPIC experience within the last 12 months and a CA RN license.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36-48 hours per week on a 3x12 schedule
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Recent EPIC experience within the last 12 months required
• BLS certification from an approved vendor required
• ACLS certification (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) required
• PALS certification (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS) required
• Minimum of 3 years of ER specialty experience required
• Recent experience in ER specialty within the last 3 months required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• No prior adverse action on nursing license

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, healing, and compassionate care
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Provide patient and family education as part of the treatment team
• Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
• Required vaccinations must be maintained as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available
