Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel contract requiring Epic EMR experience and a minimum of 3 years of ER experience.

Details

  • Work setting is an acute care hospital Emergency Department
  • Night shift position with 12-hour shifts
  • 36 or 48 hours per week available
  • Epic EMR used; experience is required

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required, must be unrestricted and in good standing
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
  • Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
  • Current PALS certification (American Heart Association) required at time of hire
  • TNCC certification required within 1 year of hire
  • Demonstrated competency in IV sedation required within 6 months of hire
  • Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
  • Must have worked in the ER specialty within the last 3 months
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Two supervisory references required: one from the past year and one from within the past two years
  • BSN preferred
  • MICN and CEN certifications preferred

Additional Information

  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during assigned shift
  • Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary care team to coordinate and deliver patient care
  • Incorporates patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
  • Delegates aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
  • Position is represented by the California Nurses Association (CNA)
  • RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
  • Candidates with any prior hit on their nursing license will not be considered
