• Location: San Antonio, TX 78258 - Stone Oak / North San Antonio
• Healthcare Setting: In-patient transitional unit supporting ER holds, Tele, PCU, and Med Surg
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per month
• On-Call: No on-call requirement
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• EMR: MediTech
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Experience in Emergency Department (ED), cardiac telemetry, and med-surg settings preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Excellent communication skills and strong critical thinking ability
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Strong multitasking skills and a self-directed, motivated approach

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for patients in a transitional inpatient unit
• Care for ER holds and patients requiring telemetry, PCU, and med-surg support
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, efficient patient flow
• Use telemetry and EKG equipment to support patient monitoring and clinical decision-making
• Deliver compassionate patient care while maintaining accuracy and strong clinical judgment
