Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a TX or compact RN license and 3+ years of ED experience.

Details

• Emergency Services department with 24 beds plus 4 hall beds
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Patient ratio of 4:1 unless working fast track/triage
• No call requirements
• No floating required
• No block scheduling
• EMR system is MedHost

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in the State of Texas (TX or compact)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications required (AHA or ARC)
• 3+ years of Emergency Department experience required
• Ultrasound IV skills preferred
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide standard emergency nursing care across a high-volume ED setting
• Scrubs must be any solid color
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, no local candidates considered
• Blackout dates apply for the weekend after Thanksgiving and the week of Christmas and New Year's
• Maximum RTO allowed is 3 shifts, with individual RTO requests limited to less than one week
• Travelers who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
