Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department contract position requiring TNCC, ENPC, and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 32+ bed Emergency Department at a hospital facility
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Unit staffed with CNCs, RNs, Medics, and PCTs across all shifts
• Uses Meditech EMR system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating nights and weekends with 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Emergency Department nursing required
• Experience greater than 2 years preferred
• Experience performing procedures such as LPs, intubations, TNK administration, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• Perform emergency procedures including LPs, intubations, TNK administration, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting
• Ideal candidates are strong team players who can anticipate patient and department needs
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs with a navy blue zip-up sweater; pullover sweatshirts are not permitted
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
