Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 1-2 years of recent ED experience and ACLS/PALS certification.

Details

• Emergency Services department in a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment on night shift (7p-7a)
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license required (no disciplinary actions)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• 1-2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide shift-based nursing care to Emergency Room patients utilizing the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO requests must be less than one week
• Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
