Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Indiana
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• PALS certification or ENPC
• Current NIHSS certification
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment
• Must live greater than 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler

Emergency Room RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Assess, monitor, and prioritize patients in a fast-moving Emergency Department setting
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support timely treatment
• Administer medications, perform interventions, and document care accurately in Cerner
• Respond to changes in patient condition with sound clinical judgment
• Maintain strong communication with patients and families during stressful situations
• Support patient flow while upholding safety, quality, and professional nursing standards
• Float as needed to support operational needs
