Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 1-2 years of recent ED experience and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Details

• Emergency Department setting providing care to ER patients
• Night shift schedule from 7pm to 7am
• 13-week assignment length
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) in Alabama with no disciplinary hits
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• 1-2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide shift accountability for ER patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgement, and leadership in planning safe patient care delivery
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• RTO requests must be less than one week
• Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
