Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift travel assignment requiring TNCC certification and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Emergency Care unit (ECC) setting
• Night shift schedule, 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM
• 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts, full time
• Weekend requirement of 6 days per 6-week schedule period

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or compact
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (AHA only)
• Current TNCC certification required
• BSN preferred
• 1 year of experience in emergency nursing preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care utilizing the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Provide education to patients and family members as needed
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius for local candidate consideration
• Previous CHRISTUS system employees must be separated for at least 6 months before starting a new travel assignment
