American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Aurora, Colorado.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a 13-week night shift travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care ED experience and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

  • Work in a 50-bed Emergency Department within a hospital setting
  • Unit staffed with 7-10 RNs and 2-3 EMT/Medic staff per shift
  • Patient ratios estimated at 1:4 or 1:5 (not guaranteed)
  • Uses EKG, cardiac monitors, and blood glucose testing equipment
  • Charting completed in Meditech EMR
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 13-week assignment length

Requirements

  • Active RN license, CO or compact license required
  • Minimum 1 year of current acute care ED experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC
  • Level II Trauma experience preferred
  • Stroke experience preferred
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide comprehensive emergency department care across all patient acuities
  • Team environment includes RNs, EMTs, and Medics working collaboratively
  • Best suited for energetic, collaborative candidates with strong communication skills with staff and providers
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
  • First-time travelers may be considered
