**Join Our Dynamic ER Team!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** Salem, VA - **Unit:** Emergency Department - **Number of Beds:** 27 - **Staffing:** 50 RNs / 25 Medics **Shift Information:** - **Schedule:** 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM - **Day Shift Staffing:** 1 Charge Nurse, 5 RNs, 2-3 Medics (increased by 4-5 RNs at 11 AM; increased by 1-2 RNs at 3 PM) - **Night Shift Staffing:** 1 Charge Nurse, 5 RNs, 2-3 Medics - **Patient Ratios:** 4-6:1 **Essential Equipment:** - EMR: Meditech **Hiring Profile:** - **Must-Have Skills:** - 2-3 years of ER experience - Completed 2-3 travel assignments - **Preferred Skills:** - Experience in high acuity and fast-paced ERs - Familiarity with patient ratios of 5:1 **Typical Procedures Performed:** - RSI - Sepsis interventions - Stroke protocol with tPA administration - Central line placement - Care of psych patients - Transfers to other facilities (EMTALA) **Ideal Personality Fit:** - Relaxed and easy-going - Friendly and team-oriented - Respectful and collaborative **Required Certifications:** - BLS - ACLS - PALS - TNCC preferred - ENPC, NRP, NIH **Floating Area(s):** - None **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color/Attire: Navy blue or white **Weekend Commitment:** - No on-call shifts - Requirement of four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday nights; Saturday or Sunday days) in a four-week scheduling period --- **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
