Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel Emergency Department position in Indianapolis, IN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and certifications including ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC.

Details

  • Emergency Department (ED) setting in a large hospital with 65 beds
  • Patient ratios vary by area: Shock 2:1, Core 4:1, Psych 3:1, Exam 6:1
  • Equipment includes Alaris Pumps, Philips Monitors, and Belmont Rapid Infuser
  • EMR: Epic
  • Mid-shift schedule: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM, 3x12s
  • Weekend option shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating required according to skill set
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active IN or Compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
  • Experience in a large ED required
  • US Social Security Number (SSN) required
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Must be able to adapt to fluctuating patient volumes in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong critical thinking skills are preferred
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • EKG testing is required as part of the hiring process; candidates are allowed 2 attempts — if unsuccessful, reapplication to this facility is permitted after 30 days
  • Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply at a reduced rate
