Tell us about the unit(s):

  • Number of Beds - 24
  • Number of Staff – 45
  • Type of staff:
    • Day Shift – 4 Day RN's/ 1 Charge/ 2 mid-shift RN's/ 1 mid shift Unit Clerk/ 1 EMT
    • Night Shift – 4 Night RN/ 1 night EMT/ 1 night charge
  • Patient Ratios – 4:1 (5:1 during surge)
  • Type of equipment – Client monitors
  • EMR - Meditech

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH and ENPC
  • At least 1-year of current hospital acute care ED experience

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

  • CEN
  • CPEN/ US IV competency
  • Pediatric Emergency Department experience for pediatric ED

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

  • Port access/ IV start/ Venipuncture/ nasal wash/ point of care testing (trop/ lactic acid/ urine dip)/ EKG/ Foley placement

  • Caring/ competent/ active
  • Easy to communicate with but willing to go above and beyond
