Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Freestanding Emergency Department position requiring TNCC, ENPC, and proficiency in Meditech.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed Freestanding Emergency Department with a fully functional ED setup
• Staffing includes 3 RNs, 1 Rad Tech, and 1 MD per shift
• Day shift staffed with 2 RNs, mid shift with 1 RN, and night shift with 2 RNs
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Uses Meditech EMR
• 13-week assignment with a 1p-1a shift schedule
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required to the Main Emergency Department and other sister Freestanding Emergency Departments

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the Emergency Department specialty
• Proficiency in Meditech required
• Strong triage skills with ability to prioritize patient care
• Comfortable and proficient managing patients of all ages
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Care for emergency patients requiring procedures such as splinting, moderate sedation, chest tube insertion, central line placement, arterial blood gas draws, lumbar puncture, and nebulizer treatments
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
• Experience in Level 1 and 2 trauma center settings preferred
• Ability to assist in obstetric deliveries in the ER and familiarity with rapid sequence intubation and mechanical ventilation setup preferred
• Strong team dynamics and communication skills required to work effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
• Royal blue scrub attire required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and local candidates will not be considered
