Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - ED Nurse Educator for a 13-week travel assignment in a Level III trauma center Emergency Department, requiring an MSN with a nursing education focus and 2+ years of ED experience.

Details

  • Emergency Department setting in a 198-bed, Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
  • Role functions as a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner specializing in emergency services education
  • Adult and pediatric patient population
  • 1:4 patient ratio in a 44-bed ED
  • Equipment includes Mindray cardiac monitors, blood warmers, Level 1 rapid infuser, Zoll monitor/defibrillator, and infusion pumps
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Primarily day shift with potential overlap coverage during shift changes based on departmental needs
  • Weekend hours dependent on departmental needs
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating required
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active NM or Compact RN license required
  • MSN with a nursing education focus required
  • CEN certification preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience required; trauma center experience preferred
  • Minimum 1+ year of nurse educator experience preferred
  • Experience developing, delivering, and evaluating educational content and learning activities preferred
  • ED nursing and nursing professional development experience required

  • Responsibilities center on nursing professional development, including designing and delivering educational programs for ED staff
