Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

Position Overview

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment providing care to patients in the emergency department. The position is designed for those who thrive in high-pressure settings and are dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care.

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 101
• Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1; up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
• Staffing: Support from technicians and unit clerks on all shifts
• Equipment: Utilizes Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend required; must meet department needs
• Floating Policy: Must be willing to float within the emergency department

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting
• Experience in a Level II trauma center or high-volume emergency department (over 100,000 visits annually) preferred
• Must possess ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI certifications; NIHSS and ENPC before start date
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and provide real-time coaching and feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department
