Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Weekends Required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to a diverse population ranging from neonates to elderly, managing ESI levels 1–5 with a typical patient ratio of 4–5:1
  • Assess, triage, and treat patients presenting with stroke, STEMI, trauma, sepsis, and psychiatric conditions in a fast-paced emergency environment
  • Perform and assist with clinical procedures including peripheral IV placement, NG/OG tube insertion, foley catheterization, wound care, splinting/OCL application, and assist with arterial line, central line, and chest tube placement
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of EMTALA regulatory paperwork in accordance with hospital policy
  • Manage medication preparation including mixing medication drips using vial-to-bag adapters on night shift; dispense medications via Omnicell system
  • Participate in float rotation to other departments as needed and assist with psych patient boarding and placement calls on nights and weekends

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
  • Proficiency in triage, PIV, port access/deaccess, foley placement, NG/OG placement, wound care, and splint/OCL application
  • Familiarity with EDIS Medhost EMR system

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with ultrasound-guided IV placement
  • Prior experience as a preceptor or charge nurse in an emergency department setting
  • Willingness to assist with precepting staff as the assignment progresses
