Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CO or compact RN license and current ED experience.

Details

  • Work in a 50-bed Emergency Department within a hospital setting
  • Unit staffed with 7-8 RNs and 2-3 EMT/Medics on day and night shifts, with 8-10 RNs on mid shift
  • Typical patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5 (estimated, not guaranteed)
  • Uses EKG, cardiac monitors, and blood glucose equipment
  • Documents in Meditech EMR
  • 13-week assignment on a 7P-7A night shift schedule

Requirements

  • Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand
  • Minimum of 1 year current acute care ED experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC
  • CPI Blue card required
  • Level II Trauma experience preferred
  • Stroke care experience preferred
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide comprehensive emergency department care across a wide range of patient acuities
  • Collaborate closely with ED staff, providers, and support personnel
  • Energetic, collaborative team environment with a strong emphasis on communication
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
