Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ED experience and TNCC certification.

Details

• 19-bed Emergency Department at a hospital main building
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM over a 13-week assignment
• Patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1
• Uses Philips monitoring equipment and Meditech EMR
• Team structure includes charge RN, triage RN, bedside RNs, HUC, and tech on each shift
• Rotating weekends required with no on-call obligations
• No floating to other units required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Experience with tPA administration, STEMI care, CPR, laceration repair, and orthopedic care

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a range of acute and trauma presentations
• Royal blue scrubs required per unit dress code
• Positive, team-oriented culture fit preferred
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
