Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Virginia
• 1-2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/Handle with Care, NIH, and PALS or ENPC
• Strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced emergency care setting
• Experience caring for chest pain, CHF, COPD, and behavioral health patients preferred
• Professional, positive, compassionate, and team-oriented approach
• Ability to adapt to floating as needed in a healthcare team environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to emergency patients across all age groups
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a fast-moving Emergency Department
• Monitor patient status, intervene appropriately, and collaborate with the care team
• Support safe and effective care for common emergency diagnoses including chest pain, CHF, COPD, and psychiatric presentations
• Maintain accurate documentation using the facility EHR system
• Respond to changing patient needs while maintaining a calm, organized workflow
• Promote a positive patient experience through compassionate, respectful care
