Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Johnstown, PA

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Pennsylvania
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications
• CEN certification preferred
• Strong foundational nursing skills; trauma or critical-care nursing experience preferred
• Ability to provide emergency nursing care to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations
• Collaborative, dependable, and team-oriented approach to patient care
• Successful completion of required pre-employment screenings and Pennsylvania background clearances, including applicable fingerprinting requirements
• Travel nurses must reside at least 60 miles from the assignment location

Emergency Department Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and timely emergency nursing care to patients presenting with emergent and urgent conditions
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, prioritize care, and respond effectively to changes in patient condition
• Support the evaluation and treatment of trauma, medical, surgical, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document patient care accurately in EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and promote positive patient outcomes
• Recognize and respond to rapidly changing or life-threatening conditions in a Level I Trauma Center
• Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and appropriate transitions of care
• Maintain a professional, organized, and supportive environment for patients and colleagues
