Description

American Traveler is hiring a Level 2 Trauma-experienced RN for a Night Shift Emergency Department position requiring MO or compact RN license and ED/trauma experience.

Details

• Emergency Department at a 61-bed unit within a Level 2 Trauma, Level 1 Stroke, and Level 1 STEMI center
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Weekend coverage required every third weekend as per facility need
• No on-call requirements
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; must be available the entire week for orientation

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Missouri or compact license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA only
• Current NIHSS and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ED/trauma experience required
• Inpatient-only ED experience required
• Trauma experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize care and comfort
• Care for patients post-trauma, post-surgical intervention, and with medical comorbidities
• Maintain professional accountability and evaluate care provided by other direct caregivers
• Adhere to black scrub dress code with no exceptions
• Flu vaccination (or approved facility exemption) required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1, with no declinations accepted
• Requested time off of 5 days or less allowed, but must be made up during the assignment
• Only one holiday RTO request permitted per assignment
