Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician Profession: EMT Specialty: EMT Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Certified Emergency Medical Technician or Certified Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Required Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: EPIC experience preferred Description: Responds to EMS calls and performs a variety of functions related to patients. Follows appropriate rules, regulations, and protocols according to EMS regulations and scope of practice. Predominantly serves in specific designated counties. Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit. If clinically qualified and within guidelines, candidates will be sent for managerial review. Interviews will be conducted by the manager. Could care for COVID patients. Tobacco and fragrance-free environment. Medical and religious exemptions for vaccinations are allowed. Flu vaccine is required, with exemptions only for medical and religious reasons. Additional experience in a variety of patient care support tasks is expected. Ability to manage behavioral emergencies and provide comprehensive patient care is essential. Knowledge of various age groups and specific care techniques is necessary. Candidates must possess skills in vital sign assessment, specimen labeling, and reporting changes in patient condition. Experience with EKG/ECG is preferred. Travel experience is advantageous. Candidate must be prepared to complete necessary assessments as required. Candidates should have an understanding of protocols related to care in various situations. Applicants must be familiar with patient ratios and emergency protocols. Pre-approved time off should be minimized where possible. Floating between units is not applicable for this position.
