This position is responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment while applying advanced nursing skills and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and team members. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborative care planning. Utilize advanced technology and equipment to assess and treat patients. Ensure all documentation is completed accurately using Cerner. Adapt to various patient needs and department requirements as necessary. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. At least 1 year of experience in an emergency room setting. Experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center preferred. Must possess current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS prior to starting. Ability to work cooperatively within a team and mentor colleagues. Flexibility and willingness to work in all areas of the emergency department. Unit Information Number of Beds: 101 Typical Patient Ratios: 4:1, up to 7:1 for behavioral holds Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors Documentation System: Cerner Shifts: Every other weekend required; must be adaptable to department scheduling needs.
