Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in Emergency Room (ER)
Location: San Antonio, TX
Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). No minimum years of experience required; credentialing and certifications must be current.
Responsibilities include triage, medication administration, moderate sedation, IV insertion, EKG, cardiac monitoring, trauma, and emergency stabilization.
Typical patient ratio is 4:1, with a focus on critical assessment and rapid response.
Must have proficiency in triage & Emergency Severity Index (ESI), emergency assessment, medication administration, and management of critical patients.
Additional information: Works rotating weekends, no call.
