Job Summary: Emergency Room Nurse - Tuscaoosa, Alabama. This position involves providing comprehensive emergency nursing care in a high-volume, state-designated Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center. The role requires flexibility to float to different units and hospitals, with coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. The nurse will work within a fast-paced environment supporting a diverse patient population with a staffing ratio tailored for critical care and general emergency cases.

Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications:
Assocated degree in nursing
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Red Cross NIH certification
Emergency Nurses Association Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or a Compact License (no temporary licenses accepted)
Minimum of 2 years experience working under the highest level of professional license, with trauma experience in a large hospital setting
Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information:
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week, with holiday and weekend coverage as required
Experience in the field of emergency room specialty preferred
