Job Summary: Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a community hospital setting. Located in a single-floor hospital with dedicated emergency and medical-surgical/intermediate units, this role involves providing acute care to a diverse patient population with varying medical conditions. The ER team handles a high patient volume with an average daily census of 60 patients, requiring adaptable and skilled nursing professionals to ensure quality care.
Job Details:
Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts run from 10/26/2026 to 01/25/2027.
Required Qualifications: 3 years of ER experience, applicable certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS, and the ability to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG, start and maintain IVs, and administer emergency medications. Valid RN license and prior experience in a community hospital ER setting preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, trauma level I or II experience, community hospital assignments, and previous travel experience.
Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to float across all community hospital ER units, with the ability to manage multiple acute and chronic medical conditions including sepsis, trauma, behavioral health emergencies, and respiratory conditions such as asthma or COPD. The hospital staff includes ED RNs, providers, MSI RN, charge nurse, paramedics, radiology tech, and patient access reps. No on-call requirement, and coverage includes weekend shifts with vacancy-based variation.
