Required Qualifications: Illinois Licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Electronic Critical Resuscitation Nurse (ECRN)
Experience Requirements: 3-5 years experience in emergency nursing
Census: Up to 180 patients per day, with a high volume of stroke and pediatric cases
Patient Types: Stroke patients, pediatric cases, patients from many nursing homes, including critically ill children
Facility Capacity: 44 rooms, with each team responsible for 10 beds or pods
Staffing Support: All staff (nurses, PCTs, physicians) work collaboratively within the same geographic area
On-Call & Holiday Requirements: As needed; on-call details not specified
Orientation: 12 hours of orientation and 6 hours of non-billable orientation, scheduled to begin on 08/26/2026
