Job Summary: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) in Scranton, Pennsylvania. This travel opportunity involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy emergency department with a 21-bed capacity. The position offers a 13-week assignment starting as soon as possible, with a focus on cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and patient assessment during night shifts.
Job Details:
Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania, United States
Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, with every other week and every other holiday required. Floating to other units may be necessary as needed.
Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Education requirements include relevant nursing credentials. No minimum years of experience specified; at least 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in emergency nursing, cardiac monitoring, and interpretation.
Additional Information: The role involves cardiac monitoring and interpretation, IV insertion, lab draws, medication administration, managing cardiac medications, Foley insertion, vital signs, assessment documentation, and conducting point-of-care testing (blood glucose). Scrub color is navy blue. The electronic medical record (EMR) system used is Cerner. No call responsibilities are required.
