Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department. The assignment involves providing high-quality acute care to emergency patients in a fast-paced environment, adhering to hospital policies and state Nurse Practice Act. The role requires critical thinking, clinical competence, and effective communication to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Job Details

• Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, administering medications, monitoring side effects, and documenting patient care with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• The RN demonstrates leadership and scientific judgment in care delivery and maintains clinical competencies through ongoing education.
• Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives is essential.
• Certifications required include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
• Experience required includes a minimum of 2 years in emergency nursing.
• The schedule is dayshift, with shift hours from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, totaling 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Floating within the nurses scope and experience is required; ICU floating may be necessary.
• The EMR system used is MedHost (EDIS).
• RTO blackout dates are one summer and one winter, dependent on department needs.
• The position is scheduled to start on 09/21/2026 and ends on 12/21/2026.
