Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position. This role involves direct patient care in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
Shift Information
Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Weekend and Holiday Rotation
Qualifications
Active Illinois RN Licensure
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS
Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and state laws.
Document patient care and interactions in line with established standards.
Perform comprehensive assessments, plan care interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
Develop, implement, and execute individualized patient care plans, including education for patients and families.
Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives, including shared governance.
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support the patient's longitudinal care plan.
Exercise critical thinking to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, appropriately escalating issues as needed.
Engage in professional nursing activities, including peer review processes and unit practice decision-making.
