Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 2 years of ED experience and MI licensure.

Details

• Emergency Department setting providing around-the-clock emergent care for minor and severe injuries and illnesses
• 10-bed unit with newborn to geriatric patient population
• 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Uses Paragon EMR
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Weekend shifts required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required at time of submission
• Compact license not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• ENPC certification accepted in place of PALS
• Blue scrubs required

Additional Information

• Coordinate total nursing care for ED patients including patient and family education
• Collaborate with ancillary nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to maintain professional nursing standards
• Uphold ethical and professional standards per ANA Code for Nurses and Michigan Public Health Code
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted
• Candidates residing within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers
