Job Details:
**Required Experience and Qualifications:** - 24 months of current Emergency Room / Emergency Department experience - Must have completed a travel contract within the previous 18 months - EPIC EMR experience - Active PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certificate - Active TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Competency) certificate - AHA/Active American Heart Association or ARC/AMERICAN RED CROSS BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA/Active American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA/Active American Heart Association PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - NIH Stroke Scale certificate (required but can be obtained during onboarding) - Nursys must state Active Iowa/IA license or compact/Multistate at the time of submission - Skills Checklist specific to the Emergency Room / Emergency Department **Preferred Experience and Qualifications:** - Acceptable de-escalation certificates: CPI, MOAB, MAB, SAMA (highly suggested to have active and in-hand, but can be obtained during onboarding) - Professional Reference/Reference Check from a charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO performance evaluation/reference from within 24 months of today's date **Additional Requirements:** - Driver’s License (document required) - Orientation Dates: 8/21, 9/8, 9/14 - HOLIDAY update: unless the Unit is closed, your contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) - Weekend Description: Every fourth weekend
