Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse - Walla Walla, Washington. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced, Level III Trauma Center. The position requires float capabilities, with responsibilities spanning a diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Candidates must demonstrate excellent clinical skills and adaptability across multiple units within the facility.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Washington or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, at least 2 years of recent clinical experience in emergency settings, proficiency with the Epic charting system, and certifications including BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Trauma Level I or Level II facility, trauma-specific certifications, and prior experience with arterial line management, continuous IV sedation, and dysrhythmia interpretation.
- Additional Information: This assignment involves managing airway devices, vented patients, and various emergency procedures such as chest tube insertion, intubation, and patient stabilization during crises. The scope includes managing complex patient conditions like strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and multisystem organ failure. Candidates must be prepared to float within the facility to various units as needed.
