Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) nurse position located at a Level 1 Trauma Center, handling adult and pediatric emergency cases. The role involves providing specialized trauma, pediatric, and adult emergency care within a busy hospital environment. This assignment requires experience in a high-acuity setting, contributing to a multidisciplinary team in a teaching hospital.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience with EPIC. CA nursing license is required; EMSA license is not accepted. Candidate must have at least 2 years of clinical experience, including experience with the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, and ventilated patients.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma, adult/pediatric emergency department experience, and Teaching Hospital experience are strongly preferred. Prior travel experience is required; first-time travelers are not eligible. TNCC certification and experience in complex trauma are advantageous.
• Additional Information: Candidate should have experience with high patient acuity and managing patients with complex diagnoses such as sepsis, stroke, cardiac arrest, and neurologic emergencies. The assignment involves working in a Level 1 Trauma Center with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, and social services.
