Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position in Garrison, North Dakota. This role involves providing specialized nursing care on a MedSurg unit, including Emergency Department (ED) responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of MedSurg and ED experience, including charge nurse responsibilities, and hold current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). The shift is scheduled for nights, with 12-hour shifts, and requires working every other weekend and holiday.

• Required Qualifications: ACLS (AHA) Certificate, BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC; two years of MedSurg and ED experience, charge nurse experience; licensed to practice as an RN; must have worked within a 50-mile radius in the last 12 months; clinical experience involving titrating drips is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working as a charge nurse, familiarity with telemonitoring, and ability to float to ED.
• Additional Information: Unit notes indicate a patient ratio of 1 to 4 for acute, 1 to 6 for swing beds; unit includes NEBS, oxygen nasal and mask, ventilator (used in ED and transport), and possibly CPAP/BiPAP. Orientation to the unit will be provided. Floating to ED is required, and charge responsibilities may be assigned. The facility has a policy allowing cancellation of up to four shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting is done via MatrixCare/Matrix.
