Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Spokane Valley, Washington. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a Level 3 Trauma Center with a focus on diverse patient populations including geriatric, pediatric, and adult patients. The role requires skilled assessment and intervention in a fast-paced environment, supporting patient safety and recovery.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI or MOAB, NIHSS certifications; 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting preferred; Location in Spokane Valley, WA; 0 years of experience required.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Support on the Unit: ER techs are all phlebotomy certified, available 24-7; department and critical care floats are available if needed; department operates with a multidisciplinary team including receptionists/HUC, charge nurses, and RTs.
• Job Responsibilities: Deliver emergency nursing care including conscious sedation, chest tube management, and central line placement; monitor patient status via bedside and station-based telemetry; utilize electronic medical records system (EPIC) and medication dispensing with Pyxis; perform phlebotomy and IV insertion; support emergency procedures and patient stabilization.
• Additional Information: Orientation includes a one-week training with skills check-offs, site checks, and precepted shifts; specific days and shifts scheduled as per posted schedule.
