Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position located in SILVERDALE, Washington. This role involves working in a fast-paced trauma and emergency setting, providing immediate care to a diverse patient population with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, respiratory issues, and mental health crises. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing high-acuity cases and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Job Details:
- Location: SILVERDALE, Washington
- Schedule: Days shift; 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/24/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC certifications; at least 2 years of experience in a trauma setting; WA or Compact licensure; experience managing cardiac, stroke, sepsis, DKA, AMS, respiratory, abdominal pain, and mental health patients
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a high-volume ER, familiarity with Epic Electronic Medical Record system, and trauma center experience
- Additional Information:
- ER has 56 beds with an additional 6 beds in the Fast track and a separate 5-bed triage area
- 18 beds designated for holding inpatients awaiting bed placement
- Locked hall with 6 private treatment rooms for psych/seclusion needs
- Staff-to-patient ratio of 1:3, with 1:4 for low acuity patients
- Approximately 170-200 patients per day
- Nurse Aids, Paramedics, ED Techs, CNAs provide patient support and 1:1 sitters as needed
- RT staff manage Ventilators, CPaps, BiPaps, and perform ABGs, with ED Techs performing EKGs and draw lab specimens
- No telehealth required; monitor techs and RNs interpret strips and monitor patient status
- Radiology transport adjacent to ED; patient movement assistance provided
- No call or standby shifts; extra shifts may be available
- Scrub attire: professional colors
- Orientation includes 1 day of compliance training and 2 days department-specific onboarding
- No RTO requests considered during the first full week of assignment
- Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts in a 13-week period
- Shift hours: 11:00 AM 11:00 PM (Wend) requirement: Every Other Weekend
- Must work holidays in November/December; scheduling flexibility considered
- Telehealth not used on this unit; charting system: EPIC
