Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 24 months of ER experience and a completed travel contract within the past 18 months.

Details

• Emergency Department setting with 34 beds and a 4:1 patient ratio
• Mixed patient population including drips and titrations
• Day shift with flexible scheduling between 0500-1730 or 0700-1930 based on staffing/census, working 36 or 48 hrs/week
• Required to work every 4th weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Will float between St. Luke's Hospital and the Marion freestanding ED
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active Iowa (IA) RN license or compact/multistate license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA)
• Active TNCC certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required, may be obtained during onboarding
• Minimum 24 months of current Emergency Room/Emergency Department experience required
• Must have completed a travel contract within the previous 18 months
• Epic EMR experience required
• De-escalation certification (CPI, MAB, MOAB, or SAMA) highly preferred; non-certified candidates may be considered if certification is obtained during onboarding
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a mixed patient population, including drips and titrations
• Scrub colors limited to black, navy blue, or Caribbean blue solids
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from working travel assignments in other markets within 12 months of separation
