Contract (13 Weeks) | 36 Hours Per Week | 12-Hour Variable Shifts | Rotating (Days/Evenings/Nights) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, Trauma Level II Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population including cardiac, stroke, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases
  • Manage a patient assignment of 3–4 patients per nurse within an 18-bed unit
  • Perform phlebotomy, administer nebulizer treatments, and utilize Pyxis medication dispensing systems
  • Document all patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
  • Participate in on-call rotations, including a minimum 12-hour on-call commitment per 6-week period with a 30-minute response time requirement
  • Float to additional emergency department locations as needed and work every other weekend and every other holiday

Required Qualifications

  • Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications (ARC or AHA accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
  • Minimum 3–6 months of prior travel nursing experience (firm requirement)
  • Trauma Level II experience required
  • Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience working in a stroke-certified emergency department
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage change effectively, and complete tasks in a high-volume environment
  • Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
