Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in Lynchburg, Virginia. This role involves working evening shifts in a Level 2 or Level 1 trauma emergency department. The assignment duration is approximately 11 weeks, beginning on August 24, 2026, with scheduled orientation sessions every other Monday.
Job Details:
- Location: Lynchburg, VA
- Schedule: 12-hour evening shifts, from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, with every other weekend off, totaling at least 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience in an Emergency Department (ED) of a similar size and trauma level (Level 1 or Level 2).
- Active Virginia or Compact licensed Registered Nurse (RN) certification at the time of submission.
- Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
- Trauma Certification (such as ATCN, TNCC, or ATLC).
- Cerner electronic health record experience highly preferred.
- All right to operate (RTO) requests must be included in the submission packet.
- Additional Information:
- Orientation date is August 24, with ongoing sessions every other Monday.
- Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted.
- The healthcare provider's management approval is required for overall candidate approval.
- Assignments may be canceled up to 36 hours prior due to census fluctuations.
