Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) nurse positions are available in a large volume Level III trauma center located in Yakima, Washington. These roles involve providing critical care across a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics, including trauma, stroke, cardiac, behavioral health, and substance use disorder cases. The positions are contracted for approximately 17 weeks, with flexible scheduling and night shifts available.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights: 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC; a minimum of 3 years of experience in a large-volume emergency department with high acuity patients; experience with barcode medication administration, managing medication drips, blood product administration, triage (must pass hospital triage test), setting up chest tubes, art lines, assisting with trauma and code cases, splinting, BIPAP/vent management; strong understanding of Emergency Severity Index; pediatric emergency medicine experience highly preferred; Point of Care Labs experience is a plus.

- Additional Information: This ER operates in a busy, Zone-based setup with a 13-bed fast track area. The facility uses Epic electronic medical records and does not require float coverage. Weekend rotations are every other week, with the possibility of back-to-back weekends on occasion. The team is seeking flexible professionals capable of working a variety of night shifts.
