Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse position located in a bustling emergency department in the region. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation cases within a level III trauma center. It offers an opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, utilizing advanced equipment and adhering to standard emergency protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with a minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medicine, certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis cases; familiarity with moderate sedation procedures.
• Additional Information: The department utilizes team nursing and a pod system, with support from social workers and unit educators. The unit is equipped with Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360 infusion pump, Freestyle and Istat point-of-care testing devices, ultrasound-guided IV access equipment, and uses Cerner electronic health record system. The patient population includes geriatric, adult, and pediatric cases, such as ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, psychiatric, substance abuse, and cardiovascular conditions.
