Job Summary:
Emergency Room nurse in Maryland for an acute care setting, this role involves providing high-quality emergency care across all age ranges, including infants to geriatrics. The position entails rotating night and evening shifts, with the expectation of working on an on-call basis and assisting with a fast-paced, complex diagnostic environment. The role requires a minimum of two years of emergency care experience, with specific certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, and CPI.
Job Details:
- Location: Easton, Maryland
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with rotating evening/night hours (19:00-07:30 / 15:00-03:30)
- Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts accepted; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/10/2026 or ASAP
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Required Qualifications: Valid Maryland or Compact State RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI certification (completed during onboarding), 2 years of emergency room experience, community hospital experience, charting system experience with Epic, trauma level I or II experience preferred
- Patient Ratios: 1:4, up to 5 with lower acuity patients
- Patient Age Range: All age groups from neonates to geriatrics
- Additional Responsibilities: Floating within ED specialty and sister facilities as needed, minimal on-call shifts, and weekend work every other weekend
- Additional Information: Successful candidates must complete compliance requirements including labs within 72 hours of signing, with deadlines 5 days prior to start date. Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope and adhering to local rules regarding travel and scheduling.
