Job Summary Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Kings County Located in a close-knit community within the Central Valley, this role encompasses delivering coordinated nursing care for patients within a 173-bed facility and outpatient clinics. The position involves supervising and directing nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines, and utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Job Details
Position Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross; 1 year of experience in emergency care.
Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, 36-48 hours per week.
Additional Information: Collects relevant patient data, analyzes assessment data, develops and implements care plans, evaluates progress, collaborates with healthcare teams, provides patient education, participates in discharge planning, and delegates duties as appropriate.
