Job Summary Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in San Joaquin County. This role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in the emergency department, following established standards of care and the nursing process. The position includes supervising and directing nursing staff activities, liaising with other healthcare disciplines, and utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment to ensure quality patient care.
Job Details
Schedule: Evenings shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor required; NIHSS certification required; 1 year of relevant experience.
Additional Information: The role involves collecting pertinent patient data, analyzing assessment findings, developing and implementing care plans, evaluating patient progress, and collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare team members. The nurse will participate in discharge planning, delegate duties appropriately, and perform other duties as assigned. All associates are required to be vaccinated as a condition of employment, with exemptions available for medical or religious reasons.
